If you’re looking for a luxurious place to stay in Greenville, than the Grand Bohemian Lodge Greenville is the perfect place to stay during your trip. This new addition to Greenville’s hotel scene, offers a luxury lodge oasis located in the heart of downtown and it impresses in every possible way. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I knew this was going to be a special stay. The stunning chandeliers, eclectic artwork, and intricate design details blend to make a truly remarkable and luxurious grand entrance. The hotel’s main attraction though of course are the views of Greenville’s iconic waterfalls, which can be enjoyed from the porch located just off the lobby where you will find plenty of seating to sit back and enjoy!
As I made my way to my guest room, I couldn’t help but notice the attention to detail. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated with elegant furnishings, plush bedding, and high-end amenities. This served as a perfect home base during my trip and truly was such treat to stay in.
While staying at the Grand Bohemian Lodge be sure to make a reservation to dine at the hotel’s incredible on-site restaurant, “Between the Trees” for a remarkably delicious dinner! This restaurant offers a cozy natured inspired ambience and uses locally sourced ingredients to create flavorful dishes that will leave your taste buds dancing. Start your meal off with their delicious homemade bread and butter and an order of the Carolina Shrimp Cocktail, which features juicy and succulent shrimp, complemented by a delicious house-made cocktail sauce. And if you’re a fan of seafood, make sure to order the Seared Scallops, served with crispy pork belly and pomegranate molasses. The dish’s presentation is stunning, and the taste is even better, with the scallops cooked to perfection.
Downtown Greenville is a picturesque area that is brimming with character and charm. With its beautifully landscaped streets and stunning architecture, it is a place that is both easy to navigate and fun to explore.
A visit to Greenville is incomplete without stopping by Falls Park on the Reedy. This serene and picturesque park located in the heart of downtown Greenville boasts an incredible view of the Reedy River Falls, lush greenery, and picturesque bridges. A walk along the paved pathways and the iconic Liberty Bridge offers striking views of the waterfall from various angles. It’s also the perfect place to take part in activities like picnicking, running, hiking, and biking along the park’s trails.
On a stroll down historic Main Street, you’ll find an eclectic mix of boutique shops, local eateries, and charming cafes. Among these storefronts, you will find the Greenville Soy Candle Company, a micro-factory soy candle shop that hand pours and sells a variety of amazing scented candles. For an especially fun visit, book one of their candle-making experience classes! During the class, we were each able to create our own customized candle with a wide range of fragrance oils, containers, and wicks to choose from. This was such a fun and unique hands-on experience and makes for a great souvenir or gift for a loved one. The class lasts around 90 minutes and costs $40 per person. Be sure to book in advance, as spots fill up quickly!

One of the most beloved spots for breakfast in Greenville is undoubtedly Old Europe Desserts. This charming European-style bakery is located in the heart of downtown and is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth. Their breakfast menu includes delicious items such as croissants, pastries, crepes, and quiches, as well as a variety of specialty coffee and tea drinks. You can sit indoors or out on their quaint patio while enjoying your meal and taking in the beautiful surroundings. Don’t forget to pick up some of their delectable baked goods to take with you on your day’s adventures ( I especially recommend picking up some of the macaroons!)
For a charming and romantic dining spot, head over to Passerelle Bistro. With its scenic location right next to the Reedy River and Falls Park, this French-inspired restaurant offers an unforgettable sunset dining view of the waterfalls. Savor a range of traditional and contemporary French dishes while soaking in the serene ambiance of the park. Whether you’re dining al fresco on the terrace or cozying up indoors, Passerelle Bistro is a must-visit for any foodie traveling to Greenville.
The Commons Food Hall located in Unity Park is the perfect spot to grab a quick and delicious lunch while exploring Greenville. With over 14 food vendors to choose from, there is something for everyone. Craving tacos? Try Bad Wolf Tacos. In the mood for something sweet? Grab a treat from Pink Mama’s Ice Cream. And if you’re in the mood for some amazing fried chicken, don’t miss the delicious chicken sandwich from Golden Brown & Delicious.
One of the best places to have dinner in Greenville is The Anchorage. This tapas style restaurant offers a creative and seasonally-inspired menu that focuses on locally sourced ingredients. With an ever-changing menu, you can expect a unique dining experience each time you visit. Be sure to try their delicious wood-fired dishes and inventive cocktails, all while enjoying the cozy, friendly atmosphere it is known for. A few of my favorite dishes that are a must try here include the Siano Burrata, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, and the Grilled Colfax Creek Pork Loin!
Travelers Rest is a small town just outside of Greenville that is definitely worth a visit. Downtown Travelers Rest is a charming area filled with boutique shops, restaurants, and cafes. Be sure to stop by Tandem Creperie & Coffeehouse, a local favorite that serves up delicious sweet and savory crepes, as well as coffee and other beverages. I highly recommend indulging in their strawberry and Nutella waffle and pairing it with a latte (it was absolute perfection).
Paris Mountain State Park is located just 10 miles north of downtown Greenville and is the perfect spot to get outdoors and get some fresh air! The park features 1,540 acres of beautiful rolling hills, sparkling lakes, and wooded trails. With over 15 miles of hiking trails, there are endless ways to explore the park’s lush forests and breathtaking mountain views. The park also offers plenty of opportunities for boating, fishing, and swimming in Lake Placid.
City Scape Winery, located just outside of Greenville in Pelzer, SC, offers a beautiful setting for wine tastings. With views of the surrounding mountains and vineyards, visitors can sip on award-winning wines while taking in the stunning scenery. The winery has a variety of red, white, and fruit wines to choose from, all made with grapes grown on-site. Be sure to take a tour of the vineyard during your visit and don’t miss out on meeting the winery’s very own pet pig and catching a peek at the giant wine glass shaped pond located out back.
For nature lovers, a visit to Conestee Nature Preserve is another must visit spot located just 15 minutes outside of Downtown Greenville. This 400-acre nature preserve offers over 12 miles of trails and boardwalks for hiking and wildlife observation. Visitors can explore wetlands, hardwood forests, and open fields, home to a diverse range of wildlife including deer, otters, and herons. There are also guided birding tours available for those interested in spotting some of the 190 species of birds that call Conestee home.
