I recently took a getaway to a newly opened all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean and the experience has totally changed the way I view all-inclusive resort travel (for the better).
The Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa & Casino is nestled along the pristine shores of Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and boasts an all-inclusive paradise that’s hard to beat. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a special week of relaxation and were immediately blown away by the resort’s grand appearance, modern design and lush landscaping. First things first, let’s talk room selection. During our stay we booked a Swim-Up Suite in the Unique section of the resort. Imagine sliding open the door and stepping directly into your private pool. Morning dips and moonlit swims became our daily rituals and the suite itself was a haven of modern comfort, making it hard to ever want to leave. Selecting a room in the Unique category also comes with extra perks including butler service and access to the Unique exclusive swimming pool and beach club!
Beyond our incredible room, Lopesan Costa Bávaro offers a wide range of amenities. The resort’s beautiful grounds are meticulously maintained, and every corner seems like a photo opportunity waiting to happen. We found ourselves lost in the lush walking paths, unwinding by the pool, and strolling along the beach, discovering new pockets of beauty at every turn.
When it comes to activities and entertainment on property, the options are endless. With everything from a water park, full service spa, casino, bowling alley, arcade, a theater with nightly performances, and even a variety of themed bars – there is something for every type of traveler on property.
Dining at all-inclusive resorts can be extremely hit or miss and going into this trip this was my biggest worry! I am happy to report the dining also exceeded my expectations in all the best ways. Each evening we chose from 7 themed restaurants on property and experienced all of the fantastic culinary experiences the resort had to offer.
Two restaurants became our absolute favorites. Inari, with its mesmerizing teppanyaki-style dining, was a showstopper. Skilled chefs worked their culinary magic right before our eyes, crafting delicious Japanese dishes. And then there was La Boheme, the French restaurant, where we discovered the sheer joy of cheese fondue (you really can’t go wrong with cheese fondue). The menu, brimming with classic French dishes, added an elegant touch to our dining adventures.
Our getaway to Lopesan Costa Bávaro was the perfect relaxed escape and we loved every moment we spent at this special slice of tropical paradise.
